Interpretation of Results

Rub yer bones to what you want to predict. When rolling, rub your bones to the set of runes that apply to what your predicting for. I've found that random rolls are worse, but who knows. Here's a quick list of what the runes mean:

  • The six runes shift into an even line - Random
  • The runes shift to show the sword - Offense
  • The runes shift to show the shield - Defense
  • The runes shift to show the codex - Lore
  • The runes shift to show the staff - Magic
  • The runes shift to show the hand - Hand survival skills
  • The runes shift to show the stick figure -Body survival skills
The bones and their meanings

You recognize the bones as a divination tool of Moon Mages. They are inscribed with a set of six tiny runes. The Krr-tich bone is somewhat poorly balanced but is fairly well-attuned. The Sek-rith bone is balanced and is attuned. The Moon Sphere is somewhat well-made and is attuned. The Sun Disk is barely attuned to its white side. The bones are older than a typical set. You recognize the bones as belonging to you.

That's whats commonly seen when you look at your set of bones. The first bone, Krr-tich, is strength. The second, Sek-rith, is duration. The Moon Sphere is the skill, the Sun Disk determines positive or negative, the age of the bones is how many times you've used them.

Strength and Duration

Most common interpretation of the first 2 bones is the closer it's pointing to you, the longer or stronger, the farther away, the shorter or weaker. I believe the landing has a lot to do with it also. When the bone lands flat, or closer to flat, its shorter. When it bounces, each bounce is kinda like a multiplier. So, a flat bounce pointing halfway towards you is weaker then a triple bounce pointing halfway towards you. This is my theory on this, and it seems to be true, but...hey, who knows.

Attuning the bones

If you follow the steps, and predict on your bones, you will attune them. If your bones damage, it doesn't always mean they're more or less attuned. If you look at the above set, you can see the bones have been damaged. The balance is shot to hell <g> But, some of the bones are attuned. These were my test bones, and they're barely bonded white. I had a set of ruby bones that were attuned great, with good balance, and were slightly white, not barely. But, I predicted on them so many times, they broke. Trib has talked about this, and he said that predicting too many times in 1 day would shatter them. I was predicting over 50 times a day, probably more, seeing what would work and getting them attuned
