Quest Obtained From: Any Guild Leader
- Speak with a guild leader about Quest.
- Make sure you have a Pristine Luminescent Soul, you can check your soul by using a soulstone, or by walking through the arch in the east wing of the Crossing guildhall or walking through the main door of the Shard Paladins Guild. If you need help raising your soul, head for the soulstate section of this website.
- Head for the Shard Paladins Guild, aka the Tower of Honorr
- Goto the Soulstone orb room (From the main room of the Shard Paladin Guild, cl stair, go door, go arch)
- Focus orb
- You will find yourself at this location:
[Wilderness, Dirt Road] A deeply rutted dirt road leads forward and back as far as the eye can see. The underbrush creeps close in along the edges of the track, seeking to reclaim the road as its own. Dense woods parallel the road, no more than 30 paces in any direction. Obvious paths: none.
- Waitfor this messaging: "The girl's breath comes in ragged pants, as she desperately flees from her pursuers. Her flight has brought her almost past you, and in a few brief moments she will be past you and beyond help."
- Enter "Guard girl" and wait for the scene to continue to play out
- Do the happy dance for completing your first glyph quest.
- Speak to any of the following guildleaders: Sir Darius, Hirb Paladins Guild, Lady Snow, Shard Paladins Guild, Lady Verika, Crossing Paladins Guild
- Goto the room they showed you in a vision, and meditate. The room will be in the same city as the guildleader you spoke with.
- Next look into a fountain you will be given a choice of two items. If you look at the items it will provide you with a clue as to which you should choose.
- Get the appropriate item.
- Do the happy dance for completing another quest.
Quest Obtained From: Sir Eamonn, Guildleader of Ratha
- Make arrangements with someone you trust who has a boat to sail you from Ratha to the Crossing. *Note* DR Plat players, you will not be able to use Jumpy Jewelry to transport yourself to the Crossing.
- Go speak with Guildleader Eamonn, in the Ratha Paladins Guild. "Ask Eamonn about quest" Who will then reply with: <insert quest messaging>
- Goto the Ratha Guild Chapel, from the main room of the Ratha Paladins Guild, go door.
- Pray
- Take your torch back to the ship that is waiting for you at the Ratha docks. You CANNOT do ANYTHING, other then walk with your torch, do not speak, do not cast, do not think on gweths, do not use chatter, do not hide, do not unhide, do not do literally anything else, but walk your torch down to the ship waiting for you at the docks. (Note: my first attempt at this quest in TF I took a moongate to the caves and walked out the portal, this made it fail. Second attempt I took Kree'la from Ratha to Haven and ferry to get to Crossing. On way down NTR I fell in the mud and the act of digging myself out caused me to fail too. So you really cannot do ANYTHING)
- Take the torch to the Guildleader in the Crossing Paladins Guild, and "give torch to <guildleader>"
- Do a happy dance for completing this annoying quest.
- Speak with Sir Eamonn, Ratha Paladins Guild Leader, ask Eamonn about quest
- Goto Therens Keep and head for the altar in the basement of the Keep. From outside the drawbridge, go draw, nw, n, go step, go door, n, e, e, cli stair
- Next go s one more room to find the alter
- Bow to the altar
- Wait for the Assassin to approach
- Once the Assassin looks like he's going to attack you, bow to the Assassin
- Wait for the completion messaging.
- Ask Guildleader about quest
- Goto the crossroads on the southern trade route, between Crossing ferry and Leth)
- Go shadows (nyads and dryads area – Forest of Night)
- Go trail
- Follow the trail east, turning south and west to the ford.
- Go ford
- Go cove
- Pray Truffenyi
- Soon into your vision, a warrior will come to you asking you for help.
- Stand
- Join Warrior
- When he’s hit in the back with an arrow, drag warrior
- You’ll fall, Stand and Drag Warrior
You must be a Paladin of at least 50th circle to go on this quest. You should have a Cleric bless one of your weapons (not your future holy weapon) before going to Mer'Kresh.
Choosing a Holy Weapon
You can use any melee weapon, including polearms, swappable weapons, and throwing weapons. You cannot use bows, crossbows, or slings.
If you use a weapon that is worn with a weapon strap, you cannot charge it while the weapon strap is attached.
You may not want to choose an irreplaceable weapon, because if you ever want to change your holy weapon, the old one is destroyed in the process.
Starting the Quest
- Go to the Guildleader's Den in Hibarnhvidar (Genie #goto 339). Other guildleaders might be able to give you this quest.
- ASK DARIUS ABOUT HOLY WEAPON, and wait until he says, "Good luck to you, and the gods keep you safe."
Shard
- Go to Genevive's Sweet Tooth (Genie #goto 182) in Shard.
- ORDER NUT BREAD for 36 Dokoras. (Other bread might also be acceptable, but this definitely works.)
- Find Sentinel Lyle. He may be on the New South Bridge (Genie #goto 199) or in the Great Tower.
- ASK LYLE ABOUT QUEST
- ASK HRIANA ABOUT LYLE, and wait until she says, "I am grateful to him if the truth be known. He has never been anything but a gentleman, occasionally bringing people like you to listen to my tale. Lyle has never been rich, and I have never had true greatness. But I am thankful for the roof over my head and that at least there is some food within the cabinets."
- OFFER BREAD TO HRIANA
- Go to the Guildleader's Office (Genie #goto 243) in the Tower of Honor.
- ASK SNOW ABOUT HRIANA, and wait until she asks, "You will, won't you?"
- NOD TO SNOW
- Go to Fiona's Fine Swords and Shields (Genie #goto 437).
- ORDER LION-EMBLAZONED SHIELD for 4,059 Dokoras. (If you order the wrong shield, Cleworth won't accept it.)
Therenborough
- Go to Castellan's Office (Genie #goto 85) in Theren Keep.
- GIVE SHIELD TO CLEWORTH (the one you bought in Shard)
- ASK CLEWORTH ABOUT HOLY WEAPON, and wait until he says, "If you truly want to know more, I'm afraid you will have to speak to her."
Mer'Kresh
- Go to Lady Avant's Office (Genie #goto 221) in the Paladins' Guild.
- ASK AVANT ABOUT HOLY WEAPON
- ASK AVANT ABOUT STTIEJAL, and wait until she concludes, "He is probably out roaming the city if you'd like to find him. I need to get back to work here, I'm afraid."
- Find Sttiejal. (He wanders but might be found on Gull Circle.)
- ASK STTIEJAL ABOUT TOWER
- ASK STTIEJAL ABOUT PORTAL
- Pursue Sttiejal to the next room, and ASK STTIEJAL ABOUT PORTAL again.
- Wait until he "presses a small key into your hand and nods in the direction of the guild."
- Go to the Paladins' Guild, and find the Hallway (Genie #goto 219) with the locked door. (The room description ends with "A lone door sits in the far northwest corner." From the Entrance, go door, go arched passageway, go gate, climb steps.)
- While holding the key that Sttiejal gave you, UNLOCK DOOR WITH MY KEY.
- You should find yourself in a Small Room with a footlocker. This room has a box with a combination lock. TURN GOLD DIAL ON BOX and TURN PLATINUM DIAL ON BOX to change the combination. PUSH BUTTON ON BOX to attempt to open the box. If you are lazy, you can use the script below to try all possible combinations. (You may need to run it more than once.)
- When you find the right combination, "a portal you hadn't seen before" will appear. GO PORTAL.
- You will find yourself in the Glade of Dreams. Follow the Shady Lane until you find a room where "Two hulking cyclopses guard an arching trellis." GO TRELLIS.
- Keep walking until you find a Secluded Garden with "a large granite boulder." GLYPH EASE BOULDER.
- PUSH BOULDER and GO STEP to enter a Darkened Stairwell.
- Go DOWN as far as you can until you find the "massive wooden door" in the Underground Cavern. (You may encounter bony fylgjas and grey death spirits. These cannot be killed without a blessed weapon, but killing them is not necessary to complete the quest.)
- UNLOCK DOOR, OPEN DOOR, and GO DOOR.
- You should be in a room with an altar. PUT [DESIRED HOLY WEAPON] ON ALTAR. You should "sense a bonding between you and the weapon."
- You will find yourself back in the Small Room with Sttiejal. Listen to his speech until "Sttiejal fades away." If you've done everything right up to this point, you should see "You have also obtained the Glyph of Renew," when you type GLYPH, and you should see, "Your [weapon] is barely glowing with holy power," when you look at your weapon.
Charging Your Holy Weapon for the First Time
Do not attempt to use your new holy weapon before you charge it. If you use it when it is out of charges, it will lose its power, and you'll have to charge it twice before you can use it again.
Note: you cannot charge your holy weapon while it has a weapon strap tied to it.
- Go to the Chapel (Genie #goto 240) in Shard's Tower of Honor.
- PRAY CHADATRU (Your hands must be empty, and it's normal to "feel your head is not cleared enough to pay proper respect to Chadatru.")
- Wait there for five minutes. When it says, "After clearing your thoughts, you pray deeply toward Chadatru. A warm, soothing sensation washes over your soul," you're ready to charge your weapon.
- While holding your holy weapon, GLYPH RENEW [WEAPON].
- When you look at your weapon, it should no longer just be "barely glowing with holy power."
You can now use your holy weapon. Repeat that procedure at any charging location to recharge it.
Accessing Emille the Vist burial chamber (Changing Holy Weapons Quest)
- Rumors of a 100 circle requirement to switch holy weapons are false. Ritual was successfully complete at 80th circle. Most likely no circle requirement beyond having the holy weapon, but cannot personally guarantee being able to do it before then.
- Make certain you have your current Holy Weapon with you AND the weapon you want to be your new holy weapon.
- Goto the Hib Paladin Guild in Forfedhar, from the entry, go nw, cl step, pull torch, go entrance
- From here go w, se, e, sw ,w, se, ne, s, w until you find yourself inside the burial chamber.
- WARNINGWARNINGWARNINGWILLROBINSONWARNING**** You only have 6 REAL LIFE hours to complete the ritual. You can only do this 1 time every year, that’s 365 days. DO NOT perform the ritual if you are not certain about switching your holy weapon! You have been warned!! Your old holy weapon will be destroyed in the process. Once the ritual begins there is no way to stop it. If an error occurs, assist IMMEDIATELY. If you wait, you most likely will not like the results.
- Ritual
- With holy weapon in hand, open chest. You will have to confirm by typing the command a second time within 20 seconds.
- Get the token from inside the chest.
- Put your current holy weapon on the rack.
- Put your the weapon you want to be your new holy weapon on the altar.
- Put the token in the fire.
- The ritual takes 120 seconds, and causes RT. I would advise NOT logging out during this time.
- Once you complete the ritual, go back out, and touch the image on the ground to get yourself out of the underground caverns.

Starting the Quest
- Go to Guildleader Cleworth's office in Theren Keep.
- ASK CLEWORTH ABOUT QUEST, and wait until he has no more to say on the matter.
Perceive Item
- Go to the Necropolis in Aesry Surlaenis'a and find Gravekeeper Aalar. (He is Outside the Mausoleum during the day. From the Necropolis Gate, go bridge, go trail, climb stairway, northeast, go trail.) If it's night, look for Aalar in his shack.
- Ask Aalar about Cleworth, and wait until he points out the hidden steps.
- GO STEPS to enter the Sunken Mausoleum.
- From the Antechamber, go northwest, go alcove, and climb stairs to reach the Tomb.
- PRAY TOMB twice, and wait until you feel that your perception of the world has somehow changed.
- Climb the stairs, and go out. LOOK BEHIND each STATUE (first, second, and third) to discover the location of the tunnel, and then GO TUNNEL. (Once you find the tunnel, you may not need to look behind the statue on subsequent trips.)
- The hidden tunnel leads to a Dank Passage. PERCEIVE in each room until you find "a soft red glow radiating upward from a patch of disturbed ground." (The actual location is random.)
- KNEEL, and DIG GROUND until you find an item. Retrieve the item. (The item you find varies.)
- Return the item to Aalar. (From the first room in the Dank Passage, go crack, southeast, go stair.)
- GIVE ITEM TO AALAR. Wait until the spirit tells you that you can use your new ability to aid Aalar further.
Perceive Theft
Roughly 95 ranks of Power Perception are required to use this ability.
- ASK AALAR ABOUT TROUBLE.
- Once Aalar gives you the item that you recovered during the first quest, GO STEPS to return to the Sunken Mausoleum.
- From the Antechamber, go northwest, go tunnel. Follow the passage until you reach a dead end. PERCEIVE ITEM, then GO NICHE to enter the Deep Tunnels. (You don't need to PERCEIVE ITEM on subsequent trips.)
- In the Deep Tunnels, PERCEIVE ITEM in each room until you feel it tugging toward the trunk in your room. Open that trunk, and retrieve the weapon. (If you try to open the wrong trunk, you'll lose a hand.)
- Return the item and weapon to Aalar. (GO PASSAGE to return to the Dank Passage, and follow it out.)
- GIVE ITEM TO AALAR.
- GIVE WEAPON TO AALAR. Wait until the spirit tells you that you can use your new ability to aid Aalar one final time.
Perceive Person
- ASK AALAR ABOUT TROUBLE. Wait until Aalar advises you to rely on your own senses to find the leader.
- GO STEPS to return to the Sunken Mausoleum. From the Antechamber, go northwest, go tunnel. Follow the passage until you reach a dead end. GO NICHE to enter the Deep Tunnels.
- LISTEN DOOR in each room (that has one) until you find the one where sounds of hushed voices echo in the room beyond.
- PUSH DOOR. You'll fall into the Graverobbers' Retreat. (NOTE: If you're questing with a partner, one should wait for the other to finish the quest. If you're both present in the Graverobbers' Retreat at the same time, you can't both get the bundle that Aalar wants.)
- When you feel you have only a little time to decide on a course of action, PERCEIVE THEFT to see which graverobber has the stolen items. Kill that graverobber, and LOOT ALL. Look in the dropped backpack to find a tattered bundle. (You can also kill all three graverobbers, and search each of their backpacks until you find the tattered bundle.)
- Return the bundle to Aalar. (From the Graverobbers' Retreat, go door to return to the Deep Tunnels. When you reach the first room of the Deep Tunnels, GO PASSAGE to return to the Dank Passage, and follow it out.)
- GIVE BUNDLE TO AALAR. Wait until the spirit leaves you with a sense of accomplishment.
